today's . . .

in response to "what would you like for the older generation to understand about the younger generation?"

"My generation is not what everyone take us as. We're the future doctors, lawyers, mom-n-dads, the people that's going to make a differances."

In response to, "What is the best invention ever?"

Back in the 1900's, it would take day's to get in touch with your love ones.

"I believe the horseless carriage has changed the way people live the most because it has made travel faster and has definitely made food and supplies more accessible to thriving cities."

s.o.l. v.i.p. roll call!

in honor of the writing s.o.l. this week (plz. send prayers) here are some of the most amazing sections of s.o.l. practice prompt responses.

In response to, "What's the best invention ever?"

If Henry Ford never created the assembly line and the automobile, the Wright Brorthers might have not though about the airplane or the bike. To think if we had no airplanes; how would we travel from each continent? Humans would have to ride whales from each continent. That would be very bizzare and prehistoric. Think about it in the year 2010, were all riding Killer Whales, and Blue Whales to get from New York, NY to Paris, France.

In response to, "If you could talk to anyone, with whom would you speak and why"

Another good reason why you should feel comforable to talk to someone, that's close with you is. Because you can't always keep everything bottled up in your heart. That's the main way that people start to lose hair.

snake eyes

today at school, this kid said:
kid: ms. carter, i think i saw you.
me: yea? where?
kid: at the strip mall . . . you know what strip mall? you were playing dice out back.
me: me?! really? i wish i did that! like throwing dice off the building?
kid: what? it wasn't you? i mean, it was some lady that looked just like you with red hair.
me: i wish . . .

then, minutes later he said:

"when you stand right there in that light, it looks like you don't have no eyes. like, they're totally white."
me: "enough! you people already told me i have snake eyes! i can't help it!"
class: "oh yeah, you do have snake eyes."
curtain.
