"hey girl, hey," you're ugly

okay, so i realize that i really stink at this whole blog consistency thing so suffice it to say it's something i'm working on. rather than trying to say all the things that have happened in the last 2 months (only a couple of which i would be so bold as to put forth for others to spend their time reading) i will just say what i'm really stoked on right now.
1. my trip to seattle was magical and radical: got to see joy and her friends who were very hospitable and interesting. got to see butterflies, rocky beaches, jens lekman, and old trees.

2. "hey girl, hey": my friend kelly at work was telling me about this youtube video with a chick from that show tila tequilla who kept saying, "hey girl, hey" all the time and i couldn't stop laughing and maybe you won't be able to either. as an aside, new norview friends are helping me get back into the habit of giggling which had somehow disappeared along the wayside.
3. musaks!: roomie jean and i have been making some toons. i'm stoked because after all this time i have a couple little numbers of my own and i get to play them first out on may 3 at volume, which is a little practice for a show at the boot on the 9th. i'm way amped! highlights include an autoharp, organ, and melodica jam.
4. "you're ugly": okay, so one amazing kid story goes like this. one of my classes was straght whillin' and i had to establish order. after repeated redirection this one girl finally told me to shut up. so i was like, "okay, dood you have to go." so i'm calling security so she'll leave, and she does, but then the door pops open about 15 seconds later. with the intensity of a middle school girl in ending a three-day relationship she screams, "you're ugly," and slams the door. at the time this was only so amusing, but 10 minutes later i realized how awesome my life is and started hysterically laughing.
