i've been so happy this school year so far. i laugh (a lot) at work and the kids are pretty cool. today this real cool kid who i thought was just being nice to me because i am a teacher told me his jersey number so i could pick him out at the football game. also, this other kid who implied he wanted to stab his family with a 5 ft sword told me he didn't really he just liked japan. wait, what?
things i'm really into right now:
1. 1940's ish harp lent to me for possible future sale by the one and only folk legend bob zentz (recently featured in that new nicholas sparks movie about the beach and richard gere). it sounds amazing. he said the cells in wood polarize over time. i don't know what this means but it's bangin.

2. pumpkin seeds: eat that whole jank boo!

The other day, I was sitting on the bus, stuck behind the train.

While waiting, some kid was telling me that the first time his mom threw a knife at him was an accident.

But, now I'm thinking that she, too, "just really liked Japan. "
