time to mess up

today i tried to get a flu shot for the third time. the first two times failed due to inaction, and forgetfulness. the third time (today) failed because of the wrong date. there i was at chesterfield academy at 3.58 running frantically to get a shot in the arm so i won't puke when the kids do. it's crazy over there by norfolk state in the afternoon. the ladies in the office were nice, but when my consolatory attempts to cheer myself up by going to a flower shop were foiled by new hours, i decided to call it a day.

furthermore, i was baffled with indecision on my arrival home. i made a list so i could take a nap, and after reading the unbearable lightness of being (which ain't too uplifting yet), had the best sleep ever. i tried to sleep with my arms crossed like in a coffin and it worked. it kept me from rolling around. neways! in this post i'm thankful for TIME TO WASTE (imagine an echo). last year i wasn't able to waste nearly a scrap of time, and this year i have about 75% less homework. it's a real luxury to be able to have time to make mistakes, and write lists. glorious "free" time, i salute you!

And you have time to blog. For that we are all truly thankful.
