second day home sick. i took yesterday because i was feeling bad (sinusy face and super sore throat)in an attempt to head off illness, but no dice. i was going to push through and go to school today because we have young life today after school, but my roomates were like, "that's stupid. you're sick."
they're right and i need to go to the doctor. why do i feel guilty for not going to work when i'm sick? because other people do. why do other people go to work while sick? because we make no space for people to rest. lots of thoughts and feelings about this.
anyway, best sick day films of all times (not in order):
breaking away: townies beat frat dogs in bike race and at life.
mad max beyond thunder dome: post-apocalyptic thriller feat. tina turner and a fight scene with a chainsaw, and a mace.
bottle rocket: wes anderson classic featuring jump suits.
ferris beular's day off: but only if it comes on t.v.
the royal tennenbaums: wes anderson jam that doesn't get too loud.
in honor of so much sitting, two of the best fight scenes ever. andy showed me this first one that was from a movie called gymkata which starred an athlete that didn't make the olympics kicking people in the face from a pummel horse. the second one is from mad max.

ahem. They go to work while sick because they have no boundaries and have a people-pleasing complex. So I applaud you for staying home! yah!
i had to watch that mad max clip again after your comment on saturday about my future post. tina is going to restore the peace one way or another!
