quest to process
in charlotte last weekend, my friend jarin made this bangin' salsa and she told me the recipe.
so when i got home, i asked mom if i could borrow her food processor (an ancient plastic thing used once each year for probably as long as i have been alive).
unsurprisingly, it was broken.
so today i bought a new one at target, after traffic kept me from my physical therapy appointment (back troubles) full of hope of fresh salsa in my mouth.
but!
jank didn't work.
so, as not to give up hope on my suddenly free afternoon and the hope of salsa, i tried to make it bit by bit in my roomates smoothie blender.
unsurprisingly, jank didn't work.
although, i did produce some of the soggiest, most cilantro-y salsa substitute the world should ever know.
then i tried one more time, before re-boxing the bogus processor, and realized i hadn't clicked it right.
oh today, how you teach me confusing lessons!
low point:
1. remembering how last time i cut a habanero pepper, the pepper residue on my hands got into my eyes when i washed my face which resulted in me screaming a little bit and hopping in the shower.
high point:
realizing how blessed i was not to be in the accident which caused the traffic which kept me from my appointment.

I would like to read more about food processors here.
My dad has a good salsa recipe; it's also cilantro-centric, though. His secret ingredient, however, is Adobo seasoning.
P.S.
Got a magic bullet that you are welcome to use.
