bird feast and other adventures

okay, so maybe i used to think that old people were boring because they liked plants and birds, but you're hearing it here first, "i was wrong." the only other option is that i have become boring and that, my friend, is out of the question (cough). anyway, my little chikadee friends (who are brave and will sit with me a bit while we look at each other) and doves, and robins and various unsundry others have been chowing down. i filled this feeder up at the beginning of last week and it's almost half done. also, these are my new sweet shades (photo cred jean marie).

aight, so it looks like i have a floating head but you've got to see that bird chompage. sometimes you have to sacrifice. anyway, i recently made a window spot for my plants and i got a new cactus. these are the ones that "thrive on neglect." i think sending out posi vibes and water every couple weeks is all they need.
